The XN-9000 Compact Integration combines up to nine XN modules, including our excellent slide maker and stainer, the SP-10, plus the DI-60 digital imaging module. All variations of the XN-9000 include the Extended information-processing unit (Extended IPU) as standard. This intelligently routes and controls your sample, order and data workflow. Compact Integration is best suited to labs with a large amount of samples with an almost exclusively uniform order profile without the need for dedicated EDTA tube sorting.
Depending on the number of XN modules, this configuration is best suited to medium-sized to large labs that need to perform a fair amount of smears and stains. Each XN analysis module can be equipped with applications that deliver additional clinical value as you need them. Because the modules process rack samples simultaneously, it accommodates any sample without slowing down – the routing logic ensures the modules work together perfectly. And you don’t lose any precious time, even with abnormal samples.
Automatic Smear Workflow
Samples that need a smear are sent for processing to the slide maker and then transferred automatically to the digital imaging module. Like extended measurements, smears are only initiated if they offer additional diagnostic value. The analysis profile is extended automatically to include smear-making/staining and morphology analysis, but you may also order it up front – whatever your needs. As an additional option, slides can be output separately for manual review, which is then controlled by a specific set of rules.
The Extended IPU, as an integrated component of all XN-9000 configurations, controls the complete order management for the EDTA tubes, the sample- and data workflow, and provides full traceability for all EDTA tubes.
