ISBT – International Society of Blood Transfusion

The ISBT 2020 congress will feature live and on-demand sessions, a virtual exhibition, workshops and much more.

The ISBT 2020 Virtual platform will offer a virtual exhibition with the possibly to have live interaction on each booth. Next to that several marketing and promotional sponsor items will be available on the platform.

Scientific Programme

ISBT has a full scientific programme based on that planned for Barcelona, with the ISBT Academy educational sessions integrated with the main programme.

To ensure that the latest developments in research and practice are included, there will be additional sessions on COVID-19 and for presentations based on selected late breaking abstract submissions.

Sessions are either ‘’live’’ or ‘’on-demand’’. Live sessions include live Q & A with the audience; whilst ‘’on-demand’’ sessions may include a recorded discussion with speakers and the moderator.

The live sessions are scheduled within two parallel streams, and include those sessions from the original programme thought to be most likely to generate a wider audience discussion. The on-demand sessions are of equal status and may be more specialized; these will be accessible from the beginning of the congress dates. Following the congress, all sessions will be available on the congress platform for delegates to watch on demand until 31 March 2021.
